Sinds december 2019 steunt Manuela Hairfashion het project ‘Onderwijs voor iedereen in Kibera’. Het is een initiatief van Talita Cristina, een Braziliaanse die in Hongarije International Relations studeert, samen met de lokale onderwijzer John Adoli, opricher van de Kibera Hamlets. Het initiatief begon vorig jaar, toen Talita een documentaire op de universiteit zag over de omstandigheden van de bevolking in Nairobi, de documentaire ging over het leven van de bevolking in de krottenwijk Kibera.
Kibera
Kibera is een krottenwijk waar 2 miljoen mensen wonen, waaronder ongeveer 500 duizend kinderen. Veel van hen hebben geen ouders meer en leeft als weeskind op straat. Heel triest 😞. Daarnaast is 40% van de kinderen en pubers besmet met HIV.
Nairobi heeft in totaal 50 scholen waarvan maar 4 openbare scholen zijn. Jammer genoeg kan daardoor niet elk kind naar school 😞
Talita wilde graag iets doen voor al deze kinderen. Gelukkig kwam zij John tegen. Hij is een lokale onderwijzer en doet zijn best om ervoor te zorgen dat weeskinderen onderdak en onderwijs krijgen.
De organisatie heeft tot nu toe meer dan 2.000 kinderen in de leeftijd van 7 tot 25 jaar geholpen.
Toekomst

Wat houdt de project in?
Het project bestaat uit het bouwen van een middelbare school gebouw, samen met de lokale NGO Kibera Hamlets, die al een basisschool heeft in Kibera.We hebben een donatie van land ontvangen van donateurs uit Zuid-Afrika en we hebben alle vergunningen van het Ministerie van Onderwijs. Nu moeten we geld inzamelen om de school af te bouwen.
Manuela Hairfashion doneert de winst van de verkoop van alle BOTICÁRIO artikelen in 2020 aan het project. Want we geloven dat onderwijs één van de beste hulpmiddelen is die we aan weeskinderen kunnen geven.
We willen dit project graag dit jaar nog waarmaken, zodat de kinderen de kans op een beter leven krijgen en misschien zelfs een kans om ooit naar de universiteit te gaan. Om dat mogelijk te maken, hebben we ook jouw hulp nodig.

Education for everyone in Kibera
Since December 2019, Manuela Hairfashion has been supporting the project "Education for everyone in Kibera". It is an initiative of Talita Cristina, a Brazilian who studies International Relations in Hungary, together with the local teacher John Adoli, founder of the Kibera Hamlets. The initiative started last year when Talita saw a documentary at the university about the conditions of the people in Nairobi, the documentary portraited about the life of the population in the Kibera slum.
Kibera
Kibera is a slum where 2 million people live, including about 500 thousand children. Many of them no longer have parents and live on the street as orphans. Very sad 😞. In addition, 40% of children and adolescents are infected with HIV.
Nairobi has a total of 50 schools of which only 4 are public schools. Unfortunately, this means that not every child can go to school 😞
Talita wanted to do something for all these children. Fortunately she ran into John. He is a local schoolteacher and does his best to ensure that orphans receive shelter and education.
The organization has helped more than 2,000 children between the ages of 7 and 25 to date.
Future

What does the project entail?

Educação para todos em Kibera
Desde dezembro de 2019, Manuela Hairfashion apóia o projeto “Educação para todos em Kibera”. É uma iniciativa de Talita Cristina, brasileira que estuda Relações Internacionais na Hungria, ao lado do professor local John Adoli, fundador dos Kibera Hamlets. A iniciativa teve início no ano passado, quando Talita assistiu a um documentário na universidade sobre as condições da população de Nairóbi, o documentário era sobre a vida da população da favela de Kibera.

Kibera é uma favela onde vivem 2 milhões de pessoas, incluindo cerca de 500 mil crianças. Muitos deles não têm mais pais e vivem na rua órfãos. Muito triste 😞. Além disso, 40% das crianças e adolescentes estão infectados com o HIV.
Nairóbi tem um total de 50 escolas, das quais apenas 4 são escolas públicas. Infelizmente, isso significa que nem todas as crianças podem ir à escola 😞
Talita queria fazer algo por todas essas crianças. Felizmente ela encontrou John. Ele é um professor local e faz o possível para garantir que os órfãos recebam abrigo e educação.
A organização já ajudou mais de 2.000 crianças com idades entre 7 e 25 anos.
