Kara Tepe is one of the Camps on Lesvos where hundreds of refugees from Syria, Afghanistan, Iran and Iraq still arrive every week. Families with children who have fled their home country due to conflicts, natural disasters and/or war.
From December 8-15, I I will be volunteering on Lesvos with the organization Because We Carry.
I will work with a team of volunteers, providing and delivering 1,000 nutritious and healthy breakfast meals every day.
The Campus village of Kara Tepe consists for 90% of families of which almost half are children, the most vulnerable refugees.
I want to raise at least € 1250 for these activities. That is the minimum required per team member for all food & projects and to support #becausewecarry.
The donations will go straight to the organisation: I will pay for my own plane ticket, other transportation and my stay at Lesvos so that 100% of the collected donations go directly to the people of Kara Tepe.
One of the biggest humanitarian crisis - of great complexity - of our times. Yet help can come in many shapes and form and I really need your support in this! Please help me and donate - one (wo)men/donation can make a big difference!
