In my daily work at the Customer Care Department of KLM, I regularly came across stories of families who flew with a child with autism. The problems they encountered were sometimes distressing. As a father of a daughter with autism, these stories really appealed to me. I decided to do something about this.
Actions rather than words.
In November 2016, I decided to set up a project to raise awareness about the subject with both airlines and parents who had the same problem.

I decided to start a community page on Facebook to see if there was a need for more publicity. Within a short time the page had more than 4000 followers and the number is still growing.
In the meantime, the project has become so big, also internationally, that the costs that I pay privately have risen so much that I call for help from you. For the next season I need € 2500, - to be able to continue organizing the Schiphol Autism Tours. In addition, I want to give various lectures on the subject in the country. I also want to do targeted merchandise to keep the project profitable. Is M. I start this action with Stichting Anakita (our children). The goal is that everyone, including autism, should have the opportunity to travel and broaden his / her view.
En mi trabajo diario en el departamento de atención al cliente de KLM vine con regularidad a las historias de familias que volaron con un niño con autismo. Los problemas que encontraron a veces eran angustiosos. Como padre de una hija con autismo, estas historias realmente me atrajeron. Decidí hacer algo al respecto.
