The International La Strada Association

Activiteiten

La Strada International is the international secretariat of the eight La Strada members and focuses on international networking, lobbying and public relations on behalf of the member organisations, producing common policies and action plans and harmonised lobby and advocacy programmes. La Strada International expands its relations with national and international organisations, national governments, European institutions and UN bodies. The secretariat supports capacity building of the members and provides a forum for NGOs on the issue of human trafficking. It also houses an international archive and documentation centre and manages the international La Strada website. The national La Strada members offer direct psychosocial support to trafficked persons (shelter, counselling, psychotherapy), prevention and awareness activities (hotlines, lectures for risk groups, information materials) and national lobby and advocacy for improving national legislation relating to trafficked persons.

Beloningsbeleid

LSI's board and General Assembly members are not paid by the International La Strada Association. They provide their time and support, as representatives of the member organisations and are paid for their work by their own organisations. LSI only reimburses the costs made for international travel or attendance of meetings. Board, General Assembly and advisory council members do not receive any other payments, nor attendance fees. For the remuneration for staff, LSI follows the Collective Labour Agreement for the Social sector (CAO-Welzijn). The highest salaries paid in the organisation are those of the International Coordinator and Advisor Public Affairs.
