Activiteiten

Ark provides a child-focused learning environment with intensive one-to-one supervision for children with autism and additional complex needs. We provide opportunities for children with special needs to interact and form relationships with their peers and the wider community. We develop and implement Individual Development Programmes to support each child's development with emphasis on communication, relationships, community activities and daily life skills. We support and advise families with children with special needs. Ark contributes to the increase of knowledge and skills for work with children with special needs (including awareness-raising, information and training activities, knowledge transfer and skill-sharing between professionals, parents, families and the wider community). We develop, monitor, evaluate and improve the content and delivery of programmes for children with special needs and their families with reference to latest research and good practice guidelines. Bestedingen

Stichting Ark receives income from fees paid indirectly by clients, and if necessary, from donations from individuals and companies. Ark Foundation's clients are the children enrolled for its services. However, since all Ark Foundation clients are under the age of majority, the child's parents or legal guardians will act on the child's behalf. Clients receive funding from the municipalities in the form of a personal budget (PGB) or on the basis of an Individual Payment Agreement (IBO). Stichting Ark charges fees at standard rates set by municipalities and these fees are paid to Stichting Ark via the Social Insurance Bank or directly by the municipality. Stichting Ark does not charge fees directly to clients.

Beloningsbeleid

Stichting Ark does not pay bonuses or dividends to staff or office holders. Statutory duties and activities of members of the Executive Board are not remunerated, except for reasonable costs incurred in carrying out these activities. All other staff members of Stichting Ark are either salaried and work and are remunerated in accordance with the collective labour agreement for youth care, in addition Ark works with freelancers and they receive allowances set on the basis of reasonable standard rates in accordance with their experience, qualifications and the nature of the services they provide.
