Aflatoun International

Activiteiten

Aflatoun International is an NGO based in the Netherlands offering social and financial education to children and young people worldwide, empowering them to make a positive change for a sustainable future. Through a strong network of almost 200 partners and 28 governments the organisation reaches 4 million children and young people each year in more than 100 countries. Aflatoun International creates high-quality curricula, for different age groups, which can be contextualised to local needs or specific circumstances. In addition, teachers are provided with training and we conduct research to evaluate the quality and effectiveness of our programmes.

Bestedingen

The Financial Statements have been prepared in accordance with the Dutch Accounting Standard for Fundraising Institutions (RJ 650). Compliance with this guideline is a requirement of the CBF (Central Bureau on Fundraising). All expenditure is directly related to Aflatoun’s goal ‘to socially and financially empower children and young people so they can act as agents of change in their own lives for a more equitable world’. Beloningsbeleid

All salaries of Aflatoun International' employees are established considering a set of salary scales reflecting responsibilities, skills and experience. Additionally, salaries of Aflatoun's executives are based on the so-called “Wijffels Code” for remunerations for directors working in the non-profit sector, which takes into consideration the size, budget, and complexity of the organisation. Finally, no members of the Board of Directors receive any remuneration for their services at Aflatoun International.
