Halve marathon voor en na een levende nierdonatie

Op 30 september 2010 heb ik een nier gedoneerd aan mijn moeder. Met één nier is goed te leven volgens onderzoek. Je zou geen nadelige gevolgen moeten ondervinden door het verwijderen van één nier (buiten een klein percentage dat complicaties heeft nav de operatie). Middels het lopen van een halve marathon op tweede paasdag in Utrecht wil ik hiervoor het bewijs leveren. Deze prestatie kan namelijk worden vergeleken met de prestatie op de halve marathon gelopen een aantal dagen voor de operatie (halve marathon van Haarlem op 26 september). My target: I would like to collect € 1,000.00 for the Kid­ney Foun­da­tion Description On September 30th 2010 surgery is performed on eight people in four hospitals (four kidney patients and four donors). One of the donors is me. Research has shown that living with a single kidney is possible. Research has also shown that there is a small percentage of complications and/or side affects that arise as a result of the operation. I would like to provide the evidence for this by running a half marathon after the rehabilitation period. My post-rehabilitation half marathon achievement will be compared with my performance at the pre-surgery half-marathon (half marathon of Haarlem on 26 of September).
