Plenty Food supports the Plenty School Gardens for Kenya project, which is implemented locally by the Sondu Vegan Center (SVC) in Kenya. Led by Kenneth Ndonga and his team, children from 12 local primary schools learn the basic principles of organic and bio-vegan farming (without the use of animal manure). With SVC’s support, they establish school gardens where they grow vegetables such as tomatoes, corn, beans, okra, and bell peppers.
The project not only promotes healthy eating and practical knowledge but also contributes to greater self-reliance within the community. Plenty Food finances the purchase of organic, GMO-free seeds and supports the educational program. With these school gardens, we are investing in a sustainable, pesticide-free future for the next generation.
In addition to our project, Kenneth and his wife educate over 160 members about the benefits of a more plant-based diet. They offer cultivation guidance, vegan cooking workshops, and organize an annual vegan festival.
