Together with young people in Sarajevo, YUA has set up an art house cinema for students: Kriterion Sarajevo. After six years of working on the project, the new cultural hotspot of Sarajevo opened her doors in June 2011. At this moment, Kriterion Sarajevo employs approximately fifteen enthusiastic students.
Beside movies, a lot of different cultural events are organized in Kriterion Sarajevo, such as expositions, stand up comedy nights and workshops, but they are also well known for their good parties and concerts. The students run their own place and Kriterion is the first new cultural place in Sarajevo since the war has ended. Besides, nowhere in Bosnia and Herzegovina youngsters receive this amount of responsibility and freedom as in Kriterion Sarajevo.
