Stichting Subglottische Stenose zet zich in voor een snellere diagnose en betere behandeling van subglottische stenose – een zeldzame aandoening van de bovenste luchtweg. Hierbij ontstaat een vernauwing net onder de stembanden, wat het ademen bemoeilijkt.
De stichting ondersteunt zowel adolescenten als volwassen patiënten, én hun naasten. We worden hierin bijgestaan door een multidisciplinaire Medisch Adviesraad van gespecialiseerde artsen. De stichting is bij de Belastingdienst geregistreerd als een Algemeen Nut Beogende Instelling (ANBI).

Stichting Subglottische Stenose is a charity committed to improving the diagnosis and treatment of subglottic stenosis — a rare condition affecting the upper airway. This condition causes narrowing just below the vocal cords, leading to breathing difficulties that are often misdiagnosed.
We support both adolescent and adult patients, as well as their families and loved ones. Our work is guided by a multidisciplinary Medical Advisory Board made up of specialist doctors. The charity is officially registered with the Dutch Tax Authority as a Public Benefit Organization (ANBI).
