RopaRun Team Zanders

Paris-Rotterdam, 11-13 June 2011 The Roparun will be on 11, 12 and 13 June 2011. The Roparun is the world's longest relay race. The race will start in Paris and, two days and 530 kilometres later, thousands of its participants will reach the finishing line in Rotterdam. The revenues of the Roparun will be distributed among the various charity projects of the Roparun Foundation all related to cancer. In short, the Roparun is a unique race with an equally unique objective: "Try to add life to a person's days, when no more days can be added to a person's life." Zanders will be taking part in this sporting event with a team of 24 people. In addition to the runners, the full team will consist of coaches (on bikes), drivers, navigators, physiotherapists and caterers. The Zanders team will be sponsored by Zanders, colleagues and a number of the firm's business relations. "We make regular contributions to a variety of charitable causes," explains Chris Zanders. "But the Roparun is in a class of its own. You're required to give more than just money; every euro for charity has to be fought for with blisters, sweat and tears."
