Famine, Malnutrition, and Diseases are suffocating my family, eight orphans children are at risk of dying of starvation in a remote Yemeni village.
The situation is getting more dangerous due to drought and the delay in the rain. My family of 8 orphaned children and their mother are facing a very horrible situation.
In addition to food scarcity and malnutrition, there is no safe drinking water available, the only water source, which is about 4 km away, is no longer suitable for drinking because of the monkeys. The monkeys have polluted the only water source that used to provide drinking water for my family, hundreds of families, and tens of villages.My family has to boil water so that the water that was fetched from that remote and polluted source is safe to drink. My family’s activity starts in the early hours of the morning, when my children, the oldest of whom is no more than 17 years old, go on arduous and difficult tasks to fetch water and wood.
They get up and go without being able to satisfy their hunger with a crumb of bread, while the mother prepares breakfast for them when they come from the wood and fetch the water.
Imagine a 12-year-old kid walking a distance of 6 km to and fro, carrying water on his head or back, while almost dying of thirst, the water he was carrying was contaminated and he could not drink from it.My orphaned children are struggling to survive, and I'm afraid they will fall down from starvation and disease.
Personally, I've two meals a day one is bread and water, I'm in Sana'a City the forgotten City looking for works any work... for almost a month I worked only five days that equal in total $50.
