What are you guys going to do?
We will participate in the Put Foot Rally - South Africa to Mozambique - in August 2020.
This is a 8000km African adventure going thru six countries. We’ve rented a fully equipped 4x4 and will have an awesome theme-party with some 80 international teams in each country we cross.
But not only that. The Put Foot Foundation supports underprivileged children in Southern Africa. Every team will collect money to donate to this foundation. In addition, every team is allowed to add a charity of their own choice.
All the money we collect will completly be donated to one of these two charities, and all beers will completely be payed out of our own pocket 😉 Next to paying this adventure by our selves, the Haagsche Hopjes crew will also chip-in on both charities.
What two charities can I support?
The Put Foot Foundation
Gifting young under-privileged children “Hope, Pride and Dignity” through a pair of brand new, South African-made, quality, school shoes!
All teams will raise money, so the Put Foot Foundation is able to buy school shoes. During our adventure we will personally put the school shoes on the feet of these children. Guessing this will be a very humbling experience…
Stichting SPOTS
The SPOTS Foundation is committed to the protection of wild big cats living freely in nature, with the main effort towards the cheetah, lion and leopard.
The crew of the Haagsche Hopjes are huge cat fans. In this case we are specifically raising funds for the SPOTS supported Africat North project to be able to buy GPS Collars for lions in Namibia.

Make sure to mention in your paymant details which charity you wish to support: Foot or Lion. If you don’t mention anything, we will divide your contribution 50/50 over both charities.
And who the hell are you guys actually?
Anton is an outdoor- and teambuilding instructor and owner of KiikEvents.nl and Wouter is a Royal Netherlands Army officer, currently on mission in the Middle-East.
We are best friends over 30 years, living in The Hague and enjoy adventures sinds our teenage years. From booze-holidays on the Spanish costa’s to mountaineering in the Chinese-Kazach border mountain range.
As soon as we learned about this Rally we didn’t think twice and almost directly applied.
