This Sunday May 24th, I will be walking 20KM for Jayme to celebrate his first birthday and raise as much money as possible!
As a father of two healthy young boys, the heartbreaking story of Jayme has made me decide to do as much as I can to support him and his family.
Jayme is a baby boy who has the neuromuscular disease SMA type 1 which is a genetic condition that makes the muscles weaker and causes problems with movement. It is a serious condition, which unfortunately gets worse over time. For most children life expectancy is less than two years.
But there is hope for Jayme! There is a life-saving drug which Jayme desperately needs called Zolgensma which is one of the most expensive drugs in the world and costs 1,9M Euros! To celebrate Jayme's birthday and contribute to the funds Jayme needs to be treated, I will be walking for him on this special day.
All raised money will be donated to Team Jayme Foundation via this website.
