Running the New York Marathon 2019 is a great sporting challenge for me. At the same time I have set myself the additional challenge of raising as much money as possible for the Onky Donky House.
The Onky Donky Foundation helps young children who are disabled or underprivileged. These may be children with a problematic home life, children living below the poverty line or children with a physical or mental disability. Several years ago the Onky Donky House was built at Ouwehands Zoo Rhenen, thanks to donations from private individuals and businesses.
From the Onky Donky House, the foundation offers thousends of children every year a safe, peaceful place where they can experience an unforgettable day and forget their concerns. Under expert supervision, they can play freely and enjoy the beautiful animals, the wooded surroundings and the attention of the people of the Onky Donky House.
