For my mother, for Alzheimer Netherlands.
In May 2021, we lost our mother (in law), grandmother, and sister to the effects of dementia. A debilitating disease that took her away bit by bit. In memory of her and to give something back, I am taking on a special challenge: walking the Via Alpina for 3 months – a hike of over 2000 kilometers through 8 Alpine countries, with more than 200,000 meters of elevation gain. With every step, I want to raise awareness for Alzheimer’s and collect funds for Alzheimer Nederland Foundation.
