FORCYD Runs the 20km of Brussels for Lakisama

FORCYD is getting ready for the 20km of Brussels! On Sunday, 25 May, we’ll be running alongside our partner CMS in support of Lakisama.

Lakisama is a foundation committed to reducing poverty and building a brighter future by providing access to education for children in Kenya. They achieve this by covering school fees and offering local mentorship.

Lakisama’s mission closely aligns with our values, and we’re proud to be part of this initiative and to support the inspiring work they do.

Onze missie is om kinderen in lagere inkomenseconomieën een betere toekomst te bieden. Dit doen we door hen toegang te geven tot onderwijs, omdat wij geloven in onderwijs als middel tegen armoedebestrijding.

Momenteel ondersteunen we weeskinderen in Nairobi, Kenia die zonder financiële hulp niet naar school kunnen gaan. Met het geld dat we inzamelen, betalen we school- en collegegelden en bijkomende kosten zoals uniformpjes, rekenmachines en schriften.

Om de kinderen te begeleiden en hun voortgang in de gaten te houden, werken we samen met lokale vrijwilligers.
