The Turing Foundation and Wilde Ganzen support three projects in DR Congo.
Foundation SRDA (Structure Relations pour le Développement en Afrique) has been active for years around Uvira in the east of Congo close to the border with Burundi. Young people learn a trade in a workshop, that can now be finished. Women get sewing machines so they can earn a living.
The Technical School in Bandundu, in the west of DR Congo, would like to expand and is asking for machines and tools for its various departments in order to be able to provide an education and a future for young people. There is much demand for skilled workers and there are only few training opportunities.
HHCCA (The Heart and Hands for Christ in Central Africa) is an organisation, which helps widows and women. HHCCA is asking for tools and machines in order to be able to start professional training.
