Activiteiten

The WakaWaka Foundation supports people living at the bottom of the pyramid through several activities. There are four programs, which the foundation executes. - Crisis Aid; the WakaWaka Foundation donates WakaWaka product to refugees, living in (semi-) permanent tent-camps. - Sun Sharing Alliance; the WakaWaka Foundation cooperates with other non-profit organisations to offer WakaWaka products for a reduced price to people living at the bottom of the pyramid - Micro-Entrepreneurs; The WakaWaka Foundation trains women to become entrepreneurs and kick-start development. Together with local NGO's, the foundation offer WakaWaka products as seed capital to sell at the bottom of the pyramid.

• The WakaWaka Crisis Aid Program provides people in crisis situations or humanitarian disaster zones with WakaWaka solar products so that they can live and communicate safely in dangerous situations. • In The WakaWaka Micro Entrepreneurs Program the WakaWaka Foundation donates WakaWaka products as 'starting capital' for micro-entrepreneurs who sell these products at the bottom of the pyramid through micro loan installments. • The WakaWaka Sun Sharing Alliance Program provides people living in extreme poverty with WakaWaka products so that they can improve their health, safety, school results and labor productivity. • The WakaWaka Partner Projects Program are projects of scale which in which we cooperate with other non-profit organisations.

Recruitment Policy The WakaWaka Foundation aims to attract candidates who are best qualified to support the foundation's mission. Positions will be offered based on competency, qualification and enthusiasm. We are committed to equal opportunity; as such applications will be reviewed without regard for race, religion, gender, marital status, sexual orientation or age. Supervisory Board compensation No members of the Supervisory Board received any remuneration in 2012. The foundation also did not reimburse the travel expenses of Supervisory Board members.
