The Garden dormouse is native to Europe and was previously widespread across much of the continent.Unfortunately, for the last 40 years the Garden dormouse lost more than half of its areas.Mammal Conservation Europe starts a Europe wide Species Recovery Initiative to save this beautiful species – one of the forests guardians. Dormice species live in the trees in forests, orchards, and gardens. They eat insects keeping those in balance and helping this way the trees.
