Partner organisation: Sadhana Forest Namibia

Country: Namibia

Plenty Fruit For Namibia aims to improve plant-based food security and disaster resilience for marginalized communities in Northwest Namibia through sustainable ecosystem transformation.

Sadhana Forest is a vegan organization that plants native forest and fruit trees in arid regions to fight climate change, restore ecosystems, and support local communities. Using minimal resources, the trees absorb CO₂, improve soil fertility, prevent erosion, and provide food and shade. Founded in India, Sadhana Forest now works in Kenya, Haiti, and Namibia. In Namibia, supported by Plenty Food Germany, the project has begun with a tree nursery and the first plantings, aiming to address food insecurity and strengthen local communities.

The Plenty Fruit for Haiti project focuses on families and farmers whose homes are located in villages surrounding the Sadhana Forest training center. This allows Sadhana to clearly monitor the progress of the trees donated to the project. They also provide training in planting and caring for the trees.
