Through this way, I want to ask you to support me during my challenge of 2017. I have thought about physical challenges, but those are limited for me. So the most "pain” will be in going "dry" for a month in January (less one cheat day planned way back ;-)).
To support me (and share some of my pain), I would like to raise some conscious and preferably money for a charity, Stichting Complex Care United (2CU "to see you"). The founders, Sarike and Vanessa, are extremely busy mums of, a.o., sons with a severe and multiple handicap. Next to their own struggle, they noticed that the support to be able to provide or get the support that these children and adults with each unique demands deserve is lagging. By raising awareness and making this vulnerable and fully dependent group visible, they hope to improve the quality of live of these individuals and their families. With their foundation they stimulate research and innovation and share their knowledge. Also, they provide support to profound intellectual and multiple disabled persons and their families. I am very proud that I can see from closeby how well Vanessa and Roland are managing their family and the foundation. I am therefore even more proud that they allow me to raise money for their cause, so please support me.
