Dear family and friends, on 24 June, I'm going to run up all the stairs of the tallestoffice building in Amsterdam: UP office building, along with many other runners.Together we not only challenge ourselves to reach the top, but also to raise moneyfor Vijana Reloaded in Kenya. In 9 years time, the unemployment rate in Kenya grew from 12% to over 40% today. The majority (70%) is youth between 18-35 years. Youth, "vijana" in Swahili, livingin rural areas can't find jobs and seek their luck in Nairobi or migrate elsewhere.Vijana Reloaded (VR) envisions a future where young women & men (18-30) livingin rural Kenya are the driving force behind creating jobs for themselves and theirfellow youth, locally. Research showed that the lack of creative entrepreneurial &ICT skills is currently hampering youth to start their own business. VR's mission isto train over 30,000 youth, who create 100,000 jobs by 2020.VR’s first training center in Kakamega delivers a proven successful traineeship. Withthis sponsor event, all runners are raising money for Vijana Reloaded to set-up 2more training centers in rural Kenya in the coming year. This is part of the scale-upstrategy, where Vijana Reloaded envisions a dense network of training centersthroughout rural Kenya in the coming 5 years. With your support, you will helpVijana Reloaded to scale up their great work that offers youth in Kenya theopportunity to create 100,000 jobs in the coming 5 years!http://www.vijanareloaded.com/
We would really appreciate if you want to sponsor me for this good cause!
