MARATHON AMSTERDAM

Hoi Mijn naam is Yonatan en ben 35 jaar jong. Ik woon in Brighton/Hove aan de zuid-oost kust van Engeland. Ik heb lang in Nederland gewoond en mijn directe familie woont daar nog. Onder andere mijn jonge neef die helaas een paar jaar geleden te horen kreeg dat hij een hersentumor had. Dat was een grote klap voor de familie, maar gelukkig was het goedaardig en is een sterke bikkel. Sinds de operatie is het allemaal goed gegaan hoewel elke MRI uitslag toch angstig is. Nu wil ik proberen om de marathon van Amsterdam te rennen en zoveel mogelijk geld in te zamelen voor de stichting. Er is veel onderzoek naar andere soorten kanker, maar niet zoveel nog naar hersentumoren, dus probeer ik dat te steunen. My name is Yonatan and am 35 years old. I live in Brighton/Hove. My most direct family lives in the Netherlands where I used to live before moving to the UK. A couple of years ago, my dear young nephew was told that he had a brain tumor. That came as a shock to the whole family. Luckily he is a strong young lad and survived the difficult long removal operation. Since then he is doing great, but every MRI scan result is always fearing for the worst. There is a lot of research to other types of cancers, but not as much to brain tumors. By running the marathon of Amsterdam I am hoping to change that. The foundation is based in Holland, but it really does not matter where it is based, new information, technology and investigation is shared between countries and is therefore universal. Eso fue un verdadero varapalo para la familia, pero afortunadamente el es un chico fuerte y paso la operación de casi 8 horas. Ahora intento correr esa maratón de Amsterdam para recaudar dinero hacia la fundación de tumores cerebrales basado en Holanda.
