Take part in donating a well to a village in Benin, Africa.

GAiN Water for Life drills water wells in third world countries, especially there where the groundwater is deep underground so the local people cannot get to it themselves. Clean water is of life changing importance... Having enough clean water nearby the village results in better health and more time for other activities and education for women and girls. It makes irrigation possible so better crops result in more health and more income. Our projects in Africa are in cooperation with national governments and cover whole countries (Benin, Togo). Working systematically from village to village, almost half a million people have received clean and healthy water already in the past few years. Follow up includes training on hygiene and sanitation, technical and well management training and afterwards the showing of the film 'Jesus' (a film showing the life and ministry of Jesus that is widely respected in countries and by religions all over the world).

In het sub-Sahara gebied zit het drinkbare water zo diep dat de bevolking er zelf niet bij kan. Wij helpen hen door een put te slaan zodat een heel dorp (gemiddeld 800 mensen) schoon en veilig water heeft. Het gevolg is gezondheid, betere landbouw en veeteeld en de mogelijkheid voor kinderen om naar school te gaan (i.p.v. uren lopen met vuil water uit een rivier of moeras).
